Grüßen aus Berlin

Hey kid, nice hat.

The Back Story.

One of my favorite sims is the 1920’s Berlin Project, a recreation of Berlin during the Weimar Republik (after World War I but before the Nazi rise to power). These folks are serious about their historical reproductions, so if you want to check it out, be sure you’re wearing something passably appropriate. No hoochie mama minis, exposed boobies with electrical tape on the nipples, or elephant impressions. Such displays would have gotten you arrested in Berlin circa 1929, and they have a jail at the Project that they’ll stick you in (unless you resist, in which case you’ll just get a Stiefel in the Popo).

I wore this little outfit I whipped together, and while not absolutely period in the most faithful way, it at least gives the right vibe. I didn’t get booted, and I met another suspendered sock lover.

Flowers. Must have flowers.

give me spring. now.
Curbing my enthusiasm.

The Back Story.

It was gray and wintery and pissing rain today, but my iris tubers are sending up shoots. This look brings the floral festiveness of the warmer months, but acknowledges that it’s still gray and wintery and pissing down rain out there. The celebration is as yet muted. Let’s not get carried away.

Jumping Jack Flash

The Back Story.

I’ve been threatening to do a post featuring guy clothes. Okay… maybe it wasn’t a threat… maybe it was just a thought. Regardless, here’s a post featuring moi in man togs. Yes, that fancy-dancey flowered shirt is made for men by Shiki, and is available on their group gift board. That place – one of the locations on the MENstuff Hunt – has such awesomely groovy hipster men’s clothing, that even my cheapskate friend who makes buckets of the Ls DJing, but has an aversion to anything over 10L, laid down something closer to 200L for something he just had to have.

Other stuff for guys: the pants and the hat.
